Who we are and what we do

KHAGARA Development Organization (KDO) is working as a humanitarian, non-profitable and non-governmental organization. Since its establishment in June 2011, it has developed policies and strategies taking into account the present requirements of the society and the global trends towards development. KHAGARAH Development Organization (KDO) provides legal aid support to Afghan refugees, helping them access essential services such as job opportunities in the private sector, bank account opening, and health and educational services. Through our legal assistance, we empower refugees by guiding them through complex legal processes, ensuring they can integrate into society, and improving their livelihoods. KDO is dedicated to promoting the rights and well-being of Afghan refugees, fostering self-reliance, and enabling them to contribute positively to their communities.

World Immunization Week 2026 | Lower Kohistan & Kolai-Palas

On the occasion of World Immunization Week 2026, Khagarah Development Organization (KDO) reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that every child has access to life-saving vaccines. With the generous support of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, through the Gavi CSO Fund managed by MannionDaniels, and in close collaboration with the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, KDO continues to strengthen routine immunization in the remote districts of Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas.

KDO is proud to stand alongside its partners and frontline health workers in building healthier communities where every child is protected through immunization.

KDO stands in solidarity with the people of Buner and all other flood-affected areas. Following an in-depth assessment,with a generous support of our local donors and KDO volunteers reached the most deserving families to provide immediate relief.

In the first phase, KDO assisted 350 families in Village Batai, Buner, with essential support including food,water, medicines, clothing, and footwear.

KDO remains committed to standing with all flood-affected communities. In the coming days, relief activities will also be extended to the next districts in need with continue support from the local donors.

KDO and the people of bunner are thankful to all the individual donors have stand with the flood effecties in this deficult time.

Aligned with the global theme — “Humanly Possible: Immunization for All” — KDO is working to engage communities, strengthen health outreach, and build public trust in immunization.
